Blue Bird

Over the last two weeks or so, my travel in Bandung and Jakarta has been dependent on the Bluebird Taksi.
It stands out for its impeccable service. Nice and clean air conditioned cars, well behaved and very disciplined drivers who know their ways around the city. A good customer service. No haggling over price, whatever the meter shows you pay.
Bluebird stands out amongst the plethora of the so called Tarif Lama(Old Tariff) Taxi’s. Tarif Lama taxis immediately remind you of the Hyderabad Auto rickshaw Drivers: Over charging, and never using the meter, you really have to haggle to get a fair price for the travel. the worst is their driving skills, they drive exactly like the Hyderabadi Auto rickshaw. Taking turn where ever they want, honking all the time, and one even jumped a signal.
Although they call themselves the Tarif Lama, but you end up playing more than the bluebird prices.
I guess this is the reason, whenever a foreigner comes to this amazing country his friends, colleagues suggest him to use only Bluebird.
