Also recently Rediff published an interview with Mr Friedman on Outsourcing. He is impressed by India’s ability to Glocalise. I like what he says there:
‘India is developing call centres and Saudi Arabia is developing madrassas. One is calling the world, in a perfect accent, the other is calling God, in only one language.’
I haven’t read any of Mr Friedman’s books. I did see the documentary prepared by him, that was aired on CNN under their Eye on India cluster of programs. Very few people have this kind of insight into the issue of outsourcing, globalisation, and an understanding of how India works.
