The Twelve, released yesterday, is the second book in Justin Cronin’s Passage Trilogy.
First book, The Passage, was one of the best reads of 2010. The Passage was a post apocalyptic , sci-fi, fantasy novel, covering 93 years since a military experiment with viruses went wrong creating a vampire like photo-phobic super human species. The world created in The Passage is terrifying, horrible and depressing, but believable. Reading through the book sends shivers down the spine and you ask, what if this was true.
The Passage was rated as one of the best Novels of 2010, by almost every book review, including Time, Washington post, NPR etc.
Going by this excerpt from The Twelve , it seems the book will be at least as good as the first one. The most difficult part is the wait for the book to arrive.
